John McIlveen has been a research analyst for 10 years working at Scotia Capital, Yorkton Securities, and Sanwa McCarthy Securitites prior to joining Salman Partners. He provides research on various consumer and industrial products companies. John spent seven years in private equity as a Vice-President and Director at Penfund Partners and three years at TD Bank. John graduated from Dalhousie University where he also lectured and has 15 academic publications to his credit including "MegaFirms" which was nominated for best business publication in 1985.
